Obituary: Saul "Patch" Zussman of Boston, a prominent restaurant consultant, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Monday. He was 69.
Born in Norwood, he had been a Boston resident for more than 35 years. A restaurant consultant for many years, he was an owner of the former Point After restaurant in Boston and the Back Porch in Newton. He
had been a sales associate with United Liquors, a wholesale purveyor, since 1979. He was named "Man of the Year" by the Massachusetts Restaurant Association in1993.
He had also been active in many charities over the years, especially with St. Coletta's Day School.
Mr. Zussman is survived by his mother, Anna Pearlson of Chelsea; a brother, Sidney R. of Salem, N.H.; and his fiancee, Ines Friedmann. Services were held yesterday at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, Brookline. Burial was in Chai Odom Cemetery, West Roxbury. Arrangements by Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, Brookline.
